Director Laurenti Dyogi takes on a new role on Star Magic starting 2021.
ABS-CBN released a statement last week announcing the appointment of Dyogi as head of the company’s talent management arm, Star Magic.
Dyogi is also the Head of Entertainment Production of ABS-CBN.
He will take the reins from Mariole Alberto starting January 1, 2021, said ABS-CBN.
The statement also mentioned director and starmaker Johnny Manahan. Manahan, or Mr. M, had been instrumental in the building of the company’s roster of artists called the Star Magic talents.
“In line with the organizational changes due to the separation program currently being implemented by the company, Mariole Alberto will be leaving ABS-CBN effective December 31, 2020.
“Over the years, Mariole has been instrumental in the discovery, development, and success of many of the country’s top talents. ABS-CBN would like to acknowledge and thank Mariole and Johnny Manahan or “Mr M” for their many contributions to the company, Star Magic, and to the industry.
“ABS-CBN also wants to assure Star Magic Artists that it will continue to uphold the standards, values, and care that are the legacy of Mr. M and Mariole.”
Manahan has reportedly left ABS-CBN and will reportedly be at the helm of two shows on TV5.
