TWO out of the top three top job vacancies in the country were for laborers, based on the data gathered by the labor department from different Public Employment Service Offices (PESOs).
Based on the April 3 to 9 data released by the Bureau of Local Employment (BLE), there are currently 650 combined job vacancies for laborers, with 350 for the private sector and 300 for the public sector.
Other leading job vacancies include call center agents (340), production machine operator (180), and domestic helpers (100).
Completing the Top 10 are office clerks (61), forklift operators (50), staff nurses (26), cameraman (25), and photographers (25).
PESO data also showed high demand for editor (25), graphic designer (25), merchandiser (23), promo salesperson (21), and customer service assistant (20).
There are also vacancies for receiving clerk (20), sales clerk (18), administrative assistant (12), delivery driver (12), and service crew (11).
The BLE said the numbers are based on the data entered in the PESO Employment Information System (PEIS).
“The PEIS is a database for jobseekers, employers, vacancies, and client transactions,” the BLE said, adding jobseekers can apply for the job vacancies by visiting the nearest PESO in their area.
