THE Food and Drug Administration (FDA) yesterday said a batch of Lactum Instant Formula Powder for infants up to six month old has been voluntarily recalled due to erroneous packaging.

The FDA said Mead Johnson Nutrition ordered a voluntary recall of Lactum Instant Formula Powder (batch No. PL9GDL5B) manufactured on July 12, 2019 with an expiration date on January 12, 2021.

“Mead Johnson Nutrition received a report from their authorized retailer that there was a discrepancy between the product marked in their storage and the actual product, the FDA said, adding the recalled batch may cause dehydration and electrolyte imbalance. The formula is intended for infants aged 6 to 12 months.
