In 7 days, 11 suspected pushers killed in Bulacan

ELEVEN suspected pushers were killed and 111 others were arrested in anti-drug operations conducted by the Bulacan Provincial Office throughout the province from February 3 to 9, it was reported yesterday.

Bulacan police chief Col. Lawrence Cajipe said the operations were launched in compliance with the directive of PNP chief Gen. Archie Gamboa for PNP units to intensify campaign against all forms of crimes.

Cajipe said the 11 drug peddlers were killed in anti-drug operations by Drug Enforcement Units of San Jose Del Monte, Norzagaray, San Ildefonso, San Rafael, Santa Maria and Plaridel towns.

Killed were Jay-Ar Borromeo alias Liit, alias Jr.; Jhodie Maglalang; alias Roy; alias Jr. Villanueva; Alfonza Javier; Arnoli Omoso; Jerry Janoras, alias Jery; Win Love Fogata, alias Entong; and Jose Ragsag, alias Jhong.

Seized from them were seven cal. 38 revolvers, three improvised shotguns, a pen gun, assorted ammunition, fired cartridge cases, 336 sachets of suspected shabu, 20 sachets of dried marijuana, drug paraphernalia and the buy-bust money.

Cajipe said 101 manhunt operations conducted during the seven-day period also resulted in the arrest of 37 “most wanted persons” and 64 “wanted persons. It said nine anti-illegal gambling operations also led to the arrest of 35 suspects.

Police also seized more than P30,000 of suspected shabu weighing nearly five grams and nabbed two alleged pushers in anti-illegal drug operations in Parañaque City last Sunday.

One of the operations, conducted on Santiago St., Barangay Baclaran at about 11:30 p.m., led to the arrest of Shane Navarro, 33.

Seized from her were nine sachets of suspected shabu worth P27,200.

In another operation, police officers nabbed an alleged drug pusher, Dhalia Gallanosa, 34, at Osorio Compound, Sitio De Asis, Barangay San Martin at about 5:30 p.m. Seized from her was a sachet of suspected shabu worth P3,400.

Three persons arrested in separate anti-drug operations in Mandaluyong and Pasig esterday.

Brig. Gen. Johnson Almazan, Eastern police district director, identified the three as Mark Anthony Bayot, 26; Michael Angelo Ansuas, 25; and Reynaldo Luarca, 29.

Seized from them seven sachets of suspected shabu worth P10,200 and nine sachets of suspected marijuana leaves worth P9,600. — Rod Lagusad and Christian Oineza
