FORMER First Lady Imelda Romualdez Marcos is now doing well after being hospitalized on Tuesday for fever and coughing.
Sen. Imee Marcos said her mother no longer had fever as of yesterday afternoon.
“Okay lang, wala na siyang lagnat. I think she’s alright. Nag-iingat lang kasi nga sa edad (She fine, no more fever. I think she’s alright. We just took precautions because of her age),” Marcos said.
President Marcos, who was in Australia on Tuesday, said their mother had “slight pneumonia” and has been put on a course of antibiotics.
The senator thanked all those who wished their 94-year-old mother well.
“Oo, kasi gusto niyang makatanggap ng E-Centenarians sa July, 95 years (Yes, we hope that she will get well soonest because she wants to receive [P10,000 cash gift] as provided in the Expanded Centenarians Law. She will turn 95 on July),” she added. — Raymond Africa
