OPERATIVES of the PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group have arrested the leader of a gun-for-hire syndicate who is included in the national list of wanted persons in Baguio City.
The CIDG identified the suspect as Ricardo Esposo Siador Jr., alias Joker, 61, the leader of the Siador criminal gang operating in Pangasinan and La Union.
Siador was nabbed by operatives of the CIDG and other PNP units at around 9:05 p.m. last Tuesday in Barangay Balacbac, Sto. Tomas Proper in Baguio City.
He was arrested on the strength of arrest warrants for murder, frustrated murder and illegal possession of firearms and explosives.
The CIDG said Siador is included in the DILG National Most Wanted, under Memorandum Circular 2021-120, issued in October 2021. A P160,000 reward has been offered for information leading to his arrest.
“The accused is said to be the leader of (the) Siador Criminal Gang which is involved in gun-for-hire activities in the provinces of Pangasinan and La Union,” the CIDG said.
Siador, who used to be a member of a similar syndicate, the Ponceja Criminal Gang, later decided to form his own group.
