Vice President Leni Robredo on Friday, January 14, signed the Green Covenant of a Robredo Presidency together with members of the GreenAgenda4Leni.
The group was represented by environmental organizations supporting VP Leni’s presidential bid. The Green Covenant aims to solidify the country’s commitment towards a 10-Point Green Agenda which covers key areas such as biodiversity, land use, climate justice, sustainable agriculture, waste management, affordable energy, and people-centered development.
Berdeng KakamPinks was also launched during the event. It is a formal platform for ecology advocates to join the pink movement while promoting the environment agenda. The signing was aired via Zoom and was attended by 120 representatives from various environmental groups in the Philippines.
