PRESIDENT Marcos Jr. has appointed government corporate counsel Rogelio Quevedo as commissioner of the Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG), the Presidential Communications Office announced on Facebook yesterday.
The PCGG, which is under the supervision of the Department of Justice, was created in 1986 with the mandate to recover alleged ill-gotten wealth of the late president Ferdinand Marcos, the current president’s father, his family and associates.
Quevedo was named head of the Office of the Government Corporate Counsel in September 2022. He served as senior vice president and later as executive assistant of the strategic communications team of the Philippine Long Distance Telephone (PLDT) Company. He also previously worked at PLDT-Smart. — Jocelyn Montemayor
