GMA Network has issued an official statement addressing rumors regarding an incident involving individuals connected to the company.
The statement, released on July 30, states: “Online articles and posts have recently circulated about an alleged incident involving an artist and independent contractors of GMA Network.
“We have yet to receive a formal complaint from those allegedly involved in the issue. Should one be filed, the Network is committed to conducting a thorough and impartial investigation. We assure the public that GMA Network takes such matters with utmost seriousness.”
The rumors allege that two industry workers sexually assaulted a young actor. According to the accounts, the two individuals allegedly spiked the actor’s drink and led him to a room where the assault took place, despite his protests.
The young actor, who remains unnamed, is reportedly traumatized by the incident. Sources close to the actor’s family indicate that they are considering legal action, having already enlisted the services of a lawyer and sought assistance from friends in showbiz.
