PNP CHIEF Gen. Archie Gamboa on Tuesday ordered a reshuffle in the police force after the retirement of Maj. Gen. Benigno Durana, the director of the PNP Directorate for Police Community Relations.
Durana, a member of the Philippine Military Academy Class of 1988, reached the mandatory retirement age of 56 on Tuesday. He bowed out of the police force after more than 30 years in service.
Gamboa designated Maj. Gen. Dionardo Carlos, Durana’s PMA classmate, as the new director of the DPCR. Carlos was previously the director for the PNP Information and Communication Technology Management and served as PNP spokesman a few years ago.
Taking over Carlos’ position as ICTM chief is Maj. Gen. Joselito Vera Cruz, of PMA class 1987, the outgoing director of the Directorate for Integrated Police Operations-Western Mindanao.
Replacing Vera Cruz as DIPO-Western Visayas director is Brig. Gen. Alfred Corpus, also of the PMA class 1987, the outgoing director of the SOCCSKSARGEN regional police office.
The new SOCCSKSARGEN regional police director is Brig. Gen. Michael John Dubria, the outgoing chief of the PNP Supervisory Office for Security and Investigation Agencies. Dubria is from the PMA class of 1991.
Designated as the acting SOSIA chief, vice Dubria, is Col. Sidney Villaflor of the PMA class 1992.
