THE PNP’s top information technology officer had been designated as the new No. 4 man of the police force, replacing Lt. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar who has been promoted as the PNP deputy chief for operations, the PNP’s top 3 post.
PNP chief Gen. Archie Gamboa yesterday announced the appointment of Maj. Gen. Cesar Binag, the PNP director for information and communication technology management, as new chief of the NP directorial staff.
As the PNP director for information and communication technology management, Binag implemented the Smart Policing Program, the PNP’s Digital Transformation Roadmap.
Gamboa said Binag, as the new chief of the PNP directorial staff, “will supervise and synchronize the functions of the PNP directorial staff offices in support of the operations of the police regional offices and national support units.”
