Singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid, one of the nicest guys in showbiz, has added another feather to his cap by launching his own talent management company, A-Team (Alcasid Talent Entertainment Artist Management).
Beyond managing a roster of classy and talented artists such as Lara Maigue, Gian Magdangal, and Poppert Bernadas, Ogie is also paying it forward by helping to mount 21 shows and concerts this year and the next.
At the A-Team trade launch held at the CWC Interiors in BGC last Thursday, Ogie welcomed members of the advertising world, showbiz colleagues, supporters, and media to announce their latest projects. The event, hosted by Amy Perez and Randy Santiago, featured Ogie revealing his partnerships with industry stalwarts, including Mutya Cory Quirino, singing champ Jed Madela, and concert king Martin Nievera.
The announcement was followed by several superb performances from the amazing artists present, including Lara Maigue, Martin Nievera, and Ogie’s wife, Regine Velasquez, who kept the crowd dancing with her exhilarating renditions of “I Will Survive” and “Last Dance.” Ogie himself took the stage, treating the audience to a unique twist on his signature songs while playing the guitar. Then, he, along with Randy, Jed, and Martin, wowed the crowd with a show-stopping medley.

As a preview for their upcoming reunion show, “The Streetboys, The Reunion,” six members of the dance group showcased their dance moves. Now in their 40s, Danilo Barrios, Joey Andres, Nicko Manalo, Meynard Marcellano, Vhong Navarro and Jhong Hilario strutted their stuff to the delight of the crowd.
After catching their breath, Vhong invited the guests to their reunion show on November 8 at the New Frontier Theater.
Apart from the Streetboys’ reunion, Ogie announced that audiences should look forward to several other exciting events, including Lara and Gian’s concert at Gateway, Noel Cabangon and friends’ “String Fever,” Jed Madela, Bituin Escalante, and Poppert Bernadas’ “Power X3,” Martin Nievera’s “The King Forever” at the Araneta, plus four-concert series and 12 musical shows.
