What was supposed to be a lovers’ trip to Tagaytay became traumatic when actress Ana Jalandoni was sent to a hospital after an alleged altercation with her boyfriend, actor Kit Thomson.
Friday, March 18, news broke out that Jalandoni sent a text message to friends asking to be rescued from her hotel room in Tagaytay City. The actress-producer allegedly sent a photo of her bruised-up face and a plea for help. She was rescued by the police after her call to emergency hotline 911 and was treated for injuries sustained after being allegedly manhandled by Thomson.
Thomson was taken into police custody for questioning and possible filing of charges.
Meanwhile, Cornerstone Entertainment, the management company handling Thomson’s career, released a statement on Friday night.
“We take this opportunity to clarify that our earlier statement was issued with no knowledge of any specific details as we were in receipt only of general allegations. Neither were we privy to any photos of the incident,” it read.
“In this delicate situation, we subscribe to the sound discretion of law enforcement and allow the wheels of justice to take its course.”
The agency was referring to their statement early Friday that said: “We have just been informed that one of our artists, Mr. Kit Thompson, was allegedly involved in an incident that transpired last night in Tagaytay City, Cavite.
“As we have yet to receive a formal report regarding the alleged incident, we could not give a response nor comment on the matter.
“However, we request the public to be mindful of casting judgment based on unfounded reports being circulated online.”
The couple became Instagram official in December after Jalandoni posted their photo captioned “First date.” The said post has since been deleted.
Also on Friday, Jalandoni posted on her Instagram account (@realanajalandoni): “When you love someone you will never ever harm them.
“Minahal mo ba talaga?
“This is me saying you all should be careful out there. I can’t reply to all of you right now but thank you for checking up on me.
“I will release a statement soon.”
As of this writing, no new statements have been released by either parties.
