A Frenchman wanted in his country for a string of criminal cases involving sexual offenses against minors has been arrested by immigration authorities in Makati City.
Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco said operatives from the BI’s fugitive search unit apprehended Theddy Douglas Tissier, 42, last December 12 on Chino Roces Ave. in Makati City based on information provided by French authorities, who requested assistance and informed the agency about the fugitive’s presence in the Philippines.
Tansingco said Tissier is wanted for prosecution by the Judicial Tribunal in Tours, France for acquiring, possessing, offering and making available recording and pornographic images of a child aged 15 and under.
He was also charged with sexually assaulting a minor and committing fraud in violation of the French penal code.
Tissier is detained at the BI’s warden facility in Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City pending his deportation.
