A total of nine firetrucks responded to the scene, it said.

Initial investigation showed the fire started at the electrical room of the SSS Data Center.

Probers were still determining what caused the fire as of yesterday.

In a statement, the SSS assured the public that “all member data records are not affected” by the fire and there will be no interruption of delivery of its services in all branches and via online.

“It likewise assures the public that all payments will be accepted and posted accordingly,” the SSS also said.

The SSS said fire suppressant system of the building “effectively contained the spread (of the fire) to other areas.”

“The SSS management wants to thank the quick response of the Bureau of Fire Protection Quezon City Station 4,” it also said.
