PRESIDENT Marcos Jr. has named former Duty Free Philippines general manager Maria Lourdes Doria-Velarde as acting member of the Board of Trustees of the Home Development Fund (Pag-Ibig), the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) announced yesterday.
The PCO said Doria-Velarde, who represents the private employers’ sector on the board, replaced Mylah Roque, the wife of former presidential spokesman Harry Roque.
Apart from her previous appointment at Duty-Free Philippines, Doria-Velarde was also a former member of the Board of Trustees of the Nayong Pilipino Foundation, a member of the board of the Intercontinental Broadcasting Corp. (IBC 13), and a former consultant at the Office of the Vice President.
PCO said Doria-Velarde is also a content creator and culinary arts expert.
She earned her Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Santo Tomas.
