PNP chief Guillermo Eleazar yesterday launched “E-Sumbong. Sumbong mo, Aksyon ko,” a complaint referral and monitoring system which he said guarantees police action to citizens’ complaints and concerns.
The program, one of the thrusts initially mentioned by Eleazar when he assumed command as PNP chief last May 7, seeks to improve the existing complaint mechanism system of the police force.
“In our improved complaint referral system, every complaint or concern will be considered urgent,” Eleazar said, adding cops should “consider time is of the essence” when they receive the complaints, including those against members of the police force.
“As I said when I assumed as Chief PNP, policemen should consider every concern they receive from the citizens as addressed to me and they should be acted immediately,” Eleazar said.
“Through this referral and monitoring system, we will make sure that all your complaint will be acted upon as if they passed through me. Your complaint is as good as referred directly to me,” he said.
