SENATOR-elect JV Ejercito yesterday vowed to help the security guard who was run over by an SUV in Mandaluyong City last Sunday.

Ejercito said he will look for additional donations to support the medical needs of Christian Floralde, of the Raptor Security Agency, who is still confined in a hospital.

“We will be looking for anyone who will be willing to help shoulder the medical expenses. Let’s help him,” Ejercito said.

Ejercito has put up a ₱50,000 reward for information that would lead to the arrest of the driver of the SUV that hit Floralde while he was directing traffic on J. Vargas St. in Barangay Wack Wack, Mandaluyong.

Ejercito said the family of the SUV driver has reached out to him and promised to face the legal consequences of the incident in addition to shouldering the medical expenses of the victim.

Both the senator and Col. Gauvin Mel Unos, local police chief, are waiting for the driver, who face frustrated murder charges, to turn himself in.
