Eid’l Adha work to net double pay: DOLE

THE Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) yesterday said private sector workers reporting for duty today, Wednesday, are entitled to double pay, June 28 having been declared a regular holiday in observance of Eid’l Adha.

Based on Labor Advisory No. 14-2023, employees who will report for work today are entitled to 200 percent of their wages for the first eight hours and an additional 30 percent of the hourly rate for overtime work.

The DOLE said employees who will work during the regular holiday that falls on their rest day shall be paid an additional 30 percent of the basic wage of 200 percent, and an additional 30 percent of the hourly rate for overtime work.

The department said that employees who will not report for work today shall be paid 100 percent of their wages.

Malacañang has issued Proclamation No. 258 declaring June 28 as a regular holiday in observance of Eid’l Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice nationwide.
