A SUSPECTED member of a drug syndicate operating at the CAMANAVA area was nabbed in a buy-bust operation in Taguig yesterday, with police seizing P6.8 million worth of suspected shabu.
Police identified the suspect as Rahib Linge Abdul, 34, a resident of Barangay New Lower Bicutan and a member of the Onie Drug Group. Seized from him were a kilo of suspected shabu and a motorcycle.
He was nabbed at around 1 p.m. yesterday on M.L. Quezon St. in New Lower Bicutan.
A report from the Taguig PNP said his arrest was the result of buy-bust operations last September 2 and 10 in Caloocan City against the leader and members of the Onie Drug Group. In those operations, 8 suspected drug pushers were arrested.
Meanwhile, operatives of the Makati Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit arrested five suspected pushers, including a senior citizen, and seized more than P1.5 million worth of suspected shabu on Wednesday night.
One of the suspects, 60-year-old Judith Finez Abella, a resident of Barangay West Rembo, Makati City, is listed as No. 10 illegal drug personality in the district level.
Seized from her were 30 grams of suspected shabu with street value of P204,000, one weighing scale, drug paraphernalia and the 1,000 buy bust money.
Abella was nabbed in her residence at about 11:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Four more suspected pushers were arrested in Barangay Rizal.
They were identified as Emerson Guira Candido, 30; Edevin Saad Virtucio, 42; Emerson Hernani Jacosalem, 42; and Auria Medalla, 36. One of their cohorts, identified as Arman Aborita, managed to elude arrest.
Seized from them were 202 grams of suspected shabu worth P1,373,600.
This is the second time this month that law enforcers confiscated more than a million pesos worth of illegal drugs in Makati City. Last September 9, drug enforcement agents arrested a female suspect who yielded around two kilos of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P13.6 million.
A laborer was arrested for violating health protocols and possession of suspected shabu worth P27,200 in Pasig City on Wednesday night.
Col. Moises Villaceran Jr., local police chief, identified suspect as Alex Lariosa, 52, of Barangay Kalawaan.
Recovered from him were sachets of suspected shabu.
