A SUSPECTED drug pusher was killed while another suspect was arrested during buy-bust operations in Taytay, Rizal on Monday, with policemen recovering ₱17 million worth of suspected shabu.
Maj. Rodel Ban-o, local police chief, said Ahmad Iqbal Mama was declared dead on arrival at the Taytay Hospital from gunshot wounds. Arrested was Eric Dela Cruz. Recovered from them were 1.5 kilos of suspected shabu, assorted firearms and ammunition.
Dela Cruz was nabbed in an operation at Lupang Arienda, Barangay Santa Ana past midnight.

A few hours later, Mama was killed after he reportedly resisted arrest and opened fire at cops out to arrest him in Barangay San Juan. An unidentified cohort of Mama managed to escape.
