WORKERS reporting for duty today, Thursday, during Eid’l Fitr or the end of Ramadan will get double pay, according to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
Based on Labor Advisory No. 11-2021, DOLE said workers going on duty during a regular holiday shall be paid 200 percent of his/her wage for the first eight hours and an additional 30 percent for overtime work.
A worker whose rest day falls on a regular holiday but reports for work shall be paid 230 percent of his/her wage for first eight hours and an additional 30 percent for overtime work.
Employee who don’t report for work be paid 100 percent of his/her wage.
The labor department said, however, that, due to the pandemic, establishments that have closed or ceased operations due to the community restrictions are excused from paying the holiday pay.
Last week, May 13 was declared a regular holiday in celebration of Eid’l Fitr.
