THE Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) yesterday warned the public against bogus hiring activities for the agency’s emergency employment program.

In a public advisory, the DOLE – National Capital Region (NCR) warned the public against false claims online on the hiring of Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Displaced / Disadvantaged Workers (TUPAD) Program beneficiaries.

“DOLE-NCR reiterates its public warning against unauthorized hiring of beneficiaries for the TUPAD Program as circulated by certain individuals and groups on Facebook,” said DOLE-NCR Director Sarah Mirasol.

In the said social media posts, DOLE is supposedly hiring TUPAD beneficiaries with an offer of P800 pay per day.

It said the program supposedly accepts applicants who are elementary, high school, or college graduates and aged between 27 to 60 years old.

TUPAD is a community-based assistance program that provides emergency employment for displaced workers, underemployed, and seasonal workers.
