FORTY-TWO job fairs are set to be simultaneously held by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) as part of the country’s celebration of the 125th Anniversary of Philippine Independence on June 12.
In a social media post, the DOLE urged jobseekers to participate in the forthcoming nationwide job fairs.
“Are you looking for a job? If yes, we are inviting you to the forthcoming job fairs in different parts of the country,” said DOLE.
“Get to know the venue of the closest job fair to be held for the celebration of Independence Day,” it added.
In the National Capital Region, job fair sites are the SM City Grand Central, Caloocan City; Rizal Gymnasium, Pasig City; SM City Marikina; SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City; Parañaque City Hall Gymnasium, Parañaque City; Vista Mall Taguig; SM Southmall, Las Piñas City; Robinsons Las Piñas; SM City North EDSA, Quezon City; SM City Novaliches, Quezon City; SM City Fairview, Quezon City; and SM City Sta. Mesa, Quezon City.
In other parts of Luzon, there will be job fairs in Porta Vaga Mall, Baguio City; SM City Baguio; Robinsons Ilocos, San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte; Candon Civic Center, Candon, Ilocos Sur; Manna Mall, San Fernando City, La Union; Don Leopoldo Sison Convention Center, Alaminos, Pangasinan; Nepo Mall, Dagupan City, Pangasinan; SM Center Dagupan, Pangasinan; CB Mall, Urdaneta City, Pangasinan; SM City Tuguegarao; SM City Cauayan; Robinsons Santiago; SM City Balanga, Bataan; Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium, Malolos City, Bulacan; Robinsons Townsville, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija; SM City Telebastagan, Pampanga; SM City Tarlac, Tarlac; SM City Olongapo Central, Zambales; Lyceum of the Philippines University – Batangas, Batangas City; SM City Sorsogon; and SM City Legazpi.
In the Visayas, job fairs shall be conducted in SM City Bacolod; SM Seaside City, Cebu; Convention Center, Capitol Area, Dumaguete City; and Robinsons North, Abucay, Tacloban City.
As for Mindanao, there will be job fairs at the KCC Mall de Zamboanga; SM CDO Downtown Premier; SM City Davao; SM City Gen. Santos; and SM City Butuan.
Last May 1, the DOLE also held simultaneous job fairs in 39 sites across different regions as part of the country’s celebration of Labor Day.
According to the Labor Day Job Fair Report, it registered a 15.33 percent hired-on-the-spot (HOTS) success rate after 4,728 jobseekers were hired instantly out of the 30,837 jobseekers that participated.
