THE Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) yesterday warned the public against the proliferation of online job scams offering local employment opportunities.
“We encourage the public to be vigilant about these online job scams and other unverified job opportunities posted online,” said DOLE in a public advisory.
The department said recruitment activities being made by a non-licensee or non-holder of authority are deemed as illegal under the Labor Code of the Philippines.
It urged those with encounters to such activities to report them to DOLE.
“The public is hereby encouraged to report to the DOLE or proper authorities, any suspicious activities on illegal recruitment and human trafficking,” said DOLE.
