THE Department of Health yesterday said it is “exhausting all efforts” so that donated bivalent COVID-19 vaccines will be delivered “at the soonest possible time.”
Some 391,000 doses of the bivalent vaccines, which will come from an unidentified donor country, had been expected this month.
The DOH said it will provide updates on the arrival of the vaccines “once the shipping documents are finalized.”
Early this month, the DOH said it was expecting the arrival by end of the month. By mid-May, it said the arrival was expected by the fourth week of the month.
Last week, though, the DOH said that there was a “slight delay” in the arrival.
To note, bivalent jabs are said to provide better protection against COVID-19 as these contain components of the Omicron variant and subvariants.
