THE Department of Health (DOH) yesterday reminded healthcare facilities and hospitals to submit COVID-19 Risk Exposure Classification (CREC) reports on or before December 19 to ensure their healthcare workers will get their health emergency allowances.

The CREC report is used as basis for the processing and grant of health emergency allowances (HEAs) to healthcare workers. It is submitted by health facilities to the DOH’s Health Emergency Allowance Processing System (HEAPS).

“All remaining CREC reports for the period of July 1, 2021 to July 20, 2023 shall be submitted to HEAPS on or before 19 December 2023,” the DOH said in Administrative Order No. 2022-0039.

“CREC reports submitted beyond the prescribed deadline shall be evaluated and processed accordingly, subject to availability of funds for that purpose and Commission on Audit rules and regulations on money claims,” it also said.

The grant of allowances will be based on the risk classification of the eligible public and private health care workers.

Those with high-risk exposure are entitled to P9,000 monthly HEA, P6,000 for those at medium risk exposure, and P3,000 for low risk exposure.

The DOH said it is committed to pay the allowances despite the lifting of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency in July.

“All unpaid HEA for the period of July 2021 to July 20, 2023 (end of COVID-19 PHE) shall be processed and paid even after the duration of the COVID-19 PHE,” said the DOH. — Gerard Naval
