THE Department of Health (DOH) yesterday belied claims online that it is endorsing a powdered milk product that can supposedly cure bone and joint diseases.

In a public advisory, the DOH denied endorsing a specific brand of powdered milk claiming to contain Colostrum as claimed online.

“The DOH clarifies that no endorsement has been made by the Department and its affiliate organizations,” said the DOH.

In a post on the “DOH Health News – Philippines” Facebook page, the DOH claimed it has found an inexpensive and quick cure for bone and joint diseases.

“Drinking this milk combined with regular exercise at home can help you cure bone and joint diseases in just a short time,” said the post accompanied by an image of Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa.

According to the health department, they are prepared to hold accountable those behind the false claims online.

“Criminal charges may be pressed if related post/s shall persist,” it said.

The DOH reiterated its appeal to the public to get their information only from legitimate sources and platforms of the health department.
