Because of the pandemic, many relationships have been affected. For many couples, LDR (long-distance relationship) has become the norm. This, however, is not for Janine Gutierrez and JC Santos.
JC revealed he even went to another country just to be with his then sweetheart.
Eventually, though, they went their separate ways. Hence, the “Dito and Doon” lead, who now has a daughter with his wife, Shyleena Herrera, does not think it is his cup of tea.
His leading lady Janine, 30, who is dating actor-host Rayver Cruz, also does not think LDR will work.
Meanwhile, their co-star, theater actress Yesh Burce, said LDR is something she has never experienced before.
“’Yung iba siguro magwo-work at depende kung paano i-handle. Puwedeng mag-work sa kanila kasi gusto nila both or hindi mag-work kasi mas may gusto ‘yung isa.
“Pero kung ako … I think hindi magwo-work kasi gusto ko nakikita siya (boyfriend). Saka di ba pag online hindi mo nakikita talaga ‘yung totoong emosyon niya, ‘yung sincerity. Kapag magka-usap kayo parang hindi moa lam kung totoo ba,” she explained.
But she is thankful to “Dito at Doon” director JP Habac because she gets to experience a first — being in a mainstream feature. She was also in Habac’s Boys’ Love series with Paolo Pangilinan, “Gaya sa Pelikula.”
Yesh is hopeful “Dito at Doon” won’t be the last collaboration with Direk JP. She said she is willing to have the vaccine shot ASAP so she can work freely and also for her safety and peace of mind, “para masaya na tayong lahat ulit.”
The experience working with her director and co-stars has been very enriching for her.
