OPERATIVES of the PNP Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (IMEG) arrested a dismissed police lieutenant in Quezon City facing a charge of physical injuries.

IMEG director Brig. Gen. Warren identified the ex-cop as ex-Lt. Mario Pascual, 51, who was arrested last Tuesday morning in Barangay Tatalon, Quezon City.

Pascual was nabbed by virtue of a warrant issued on September 5, 2020 by Quezon City Judge Kristine Grace Suarez for a case of less serious physical injuries.

IMEG said Pascual was accused of inflicting injuries to a detainee about 15 years ago while he was still in active service.

Pascual was brought to the custodial facility of IMEG in Camp Crame for documentation and was turned over to the court.

The court has set a P2,000 bail for the temporary liberty of Pascual, IMEG said.

De Leon reiterated IMEG’s determination to go after all wanted policemen, whether in the active service or separated from the service.

De Leon also appealed to the public to report erring policemen so they could be held accountable for their actions.
