Anytime now, Dimples Romana and husband Boyet Ahmee’s third baby may arrive. Still, the infanticipating actress made sure to drive herself to the venue of the contract signing for her newest endorsement, Generika Drugstore.
Has she been having an easy time with her third pregnancy?
“It’s not at all easier, if at all, it’s mas nakakatakot,” she said. “Mas marami na tayong alam ngayon. There are pros and cons of knowing. Pag alam mon a gaano kasakit, mas nadadagdagan ang takot mo. Gusto ko man sabihing ready na ready ako, ‘di po totoo ‘yun.
“At the same time, because I know I have a whole village, if not a whole community supporting me in giving birth, that gives me a lot of comfort, a lot of ginhawa. Lahat na ng pagpapaginhawa binigay sa akin, kaya nakakahiya talaga. Minsan iniisip ko, deserving ba ako nito? But my Generika family would always say, ang ginhawa walang pinipili, ito’y para sa lahat.
“That’s exactly how I feel preparing for my third delivery… Mas nakakatakot magpalaki ng bata, para sa akin. Kasi ang pagpapalaki ng bata, responsibilidad yan sa araw-araw. Kailangan ready ka bilang magulang sa iba’t ibang challenges na ibabato sa yo. Alam naman natin ang mga anak natin, kahit nanggaling sa isang sinapupunan, hindi magkakapareho. Magkakaiba silang lalaki. I think that’s more frightening for me.”
It’s this commitment, care and dedication that makes Dimples a reliable actress and also the top of mind for endorsers and the buying public.
According to Generika executives, Dimples was the only choice to be the face of the brand.
With the company’s goal of providing “ginhawa” to consumers, especially those in need of medicines, Dimples exudes the benevolent aura that the people want to see.
Generika Drugstore also gives value to Dimples’ desire to take care of her family just like how the brand is committed to taking care of its customers and their families. In spite of her being very active on TV and the movies, aside from having her own businesses and vlog, Dimples remains dedicated to family, something that inspires more Filipinos to join the cause of Generika: to provide much more than the medical needs that they can offer, but also give customers the proper care and relief that they truly deserve.
“Advice ko sa lahat ng mommies at gustong maging mommies, tatagan nyo po ang inyong mga loob, lalo pang paigtingin ang ating pagdadasal. At the end of the day, if we have our faith as strong as our love for our families and those who love us back, we will always have something we can rely on, especially in the toughest of times.
“Kasi na realize ko po, in my marriage and family life it has not been perfect, even in my career. There will always be challenges, but sometimes the challenges will not appear as challenges. They will appear as if they are just there every day…. But at the end of the day, it’s the value of the people around you that make you strong enough to withstand all storms and challenges,” said the mom of Callie, Alonzo, and soon, Elio.
Like Dimples, the people behind Generika make sure that the drugstore continuously serves its social purpose to provide access to quality and affordable healthcare to Filipino families. It is especially needed during these times where supply of medicine became scarce. Generika has been able to keep up with the challenging demand for much needed medicine and supplies.
President and CEO of Generika Drugstore, Atty. Josette A. Abarca, shared “We have generic equivalents for those branded medicines and have ample supply for them. If the generic counterpart has gone through the required FDA approval, the difference is just in the brand name. The efficacy is the same since the active ingredients are the same.”
