PRESIDENT Marcos Jr. has named Foreign Affairs Assistant Secretary Reynaldo Catapang as a member of the board of the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO).
The Presidential Communications Office (PCO), in a Facebook post yesterday, released the list of new appointments in various agencies ranging from members of the boards to directorial positions, among others.
Catapang, apart from his stint as DFA Assistant Secretary for Migrant Workers Affairs (OMWA), had pre-viously served as deputy chief of mission and later as charge d’affaires in the Philippine embassy in the United Kingdom.
PCO said other officials appointed by the President were Mariano Marcos State University president Shirley Agrupis as commissioner of the Commission on Higher Education and Partido Federal ng Pilipinas Vice President for Visayas Lorenzo Saguico Jr. as assistant secretary at the Office of the Special Assistant to the President.
The President also re-nominated Eric Jose Ines as general manager of the Manila International Airport and appointed as a member of the MIAA board.
Other appointees were Jerusa Arnante-Homo, Maria Lyra Del Castillo and Vincent Andrew Leyson as members of the Professional Regulatory Board for Social Workers; Ramon de Leon as a member of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Board; Irene Fonacier, Rodel Navarra, Nandy Senoc, Jovanni Templonuevo and Manuel Velasco as members of the Philippine National Aids Council; and Renato Legaspi Sr. and Patrick Angelo Uy as members of the board of the Coconut Industry Invest-ment Fund of the Oil Mills group.
Also appointed were Roland Beltran as acting member of the board of trustees of the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) Production Unit; Michael Democrito Mendoza as acting member of the Social Secu-rity System; Willord Reyes as acting member of the National Tobacco Administration; and Teodoro Del Rosario as acting member of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority.
