AS part of the Department of Education’s 125th-anniversary celebrations, its employees who have rendered service for at least one year will receive a P3,000 anniversary bonus.
The grant of the anniversary bonus was contained in an order dated June 15 issued by Vice President and DepEd Secretary Sara Duterte.
“The Anniversary Bonus is granted to officials and employees of government agencies in the Milestone years of the agency. Milestone years are defined as the 15th year of the government agency and every 5th year thereafter,” Duterte’s order said.
“As confirmed through Administrative Order No. 322 dated March 20, 1997 issued by former President Fidel V. Ramos, June 23, 1898 is the founding anniversary of the Department of Education. This serves as the basis in determining the milestone year of the Department for the purpose of granting the Anniversary Bonus to its officials and employees,” it added.
However, consultants, contractual, and job order employees are not eligible to receive the bonus.
