Among dengue deaths, most were reported in Central Visayas (68), Western Visayas (51), and Central Luzon (41).

In a previous interview, DOH officer-in-charge Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire attributed the increase in dengue cases to higher mobility in the country compared to the previous year.
