Demand high for production workers

OVER 2,000 production workers are currently in demand as they currently top the list of job vacancies in Public Employment Service Offices (PESOs), according to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

Based on the August 13 to 19 data released by the Bureau of Local Employment (BLE), there are currently 2,150 job vacancies for production workers.

Other leading job vacancies include domestic helpers (978), laborers (900), customer service assistants (751), and government laborers (362).

Completing the Top 10 are production machine operators (200), general carpenters (175), cashiers (174), production and operations specialists (149), and baggers (133).

PESO data also showed high demand for accounting clerks (129), sales clerks (113), service crew (105), administration service aides (100), and government administrative officers (100).

There were also vacancies for housemaids (95), scaffolders (80), construction laborers (75), delivery drivers (71), and staff nurses (65).

“Interested applicants may coordinate with the concerned PESO,” BLE said.
