Daily cases in PH drop below 400

NEW coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases reported daily over the past seven days has dipped below 400, according to the Department of Health.

In its latest bulletin, the DOH said 2,726 new infections have been recorded from March 21 to 27 for a 389 daily average.

“This is lower by 24 percent than cases reported from March 14 to 20,” the DOH said.

But there were 752 additional deaths over the past seven days.

The DOH also reported that there are currently 758 severe and critical cases in the country as of March 27, with 484 of them occupying ICU beds.

The number of occupied ICU beds account for the 15.1 percent of the 3,204 total nationwide.

There are 4,613 COVID-19 patients are occupying COVID-19 beds. This is 16.7 percent of the 27,547 total COVID-19 beds allocated nationwide.
