THE average number of daily coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the Philippines is on the rise anew, according to the Department of Health (DOH).
Based on its latest COVID-19 case bulletin, the DOH said there is an average of 162 cases daily, or 1,132 infections, for the period of November 7 to 13, which is 21 percent higher than cases reported from October 31 to November 6.
In its November 6 case bulletin, the DOH reported an average of 128 cases daily for the period of October 31 to November 6.
The DOH said there were 12 additional severe and critical cases during the past week.
On the other hand, there were 10 deaths reported over the past seven days.
The DOH said that there are currently 246 severe and critical cases in the country, as of November 12. Of the total severe and critical cases, the report showed that 164 are occupying ICU beds.
The number of occupied ICU beds account for the 11.5 percent of the 1,423 total nationwide.
On the other hand, there are 2,262 patients occupying COVID-19 beds, or 18.3 percent of the 12,352 total beds allocated nationwide.
