OVER 800,000 official ballots are set to be printed at the National Printing Office for the September 17 Maguindanao plebiscite to be conducted by the Commission on Elections.
“Printing will continue in the next few days at the NPO for the plebiscite to ratify the division of the Province of Maguindanao into two provinces to be known as Maguindanao del Norte and Maguindanao del Sur,” the Comelec said, adding 818,790 ballots need to be printed.
The poll body said the manual election system will be used for the conduct of the plebiscite.
The ballots to be printed will ask the voters if they agree to divide Maguindanao into two provinces — Maguindanao del Norte and Maguindanao del Sur as provided under Republic Act No. 11550.
