THE Commission on Elections (Comelec) has allocated a P1.64 billion budget to acquire the transmission system to be used during the 2025 national and local elections.
In its Invitation to Bid, the Comelec – Special Bids and Awards Committee (SBAC) disclosed that the procurement of the Secure Electronic Transmission Services (SETS) has an approved budget of P1,638,501,499.40.
The system will be used to transmit election results using telecommunication networks.
The Comelec said bid offers should already include allocations for the provision of data centers and connectivity requirements for the Automated Election System (AES) servers.
It reminded firms seeking to participate in the bidding that “bids received in excess of the ABC shall be automatically rejected at bid opening.”
The SBAC said the bidding documents may now be purchased for P75,000.00 at its Secretariat office located at the Far East Managers and Investors Incorporated (FEMII) Building in Intramuros, Manila from Mondays to Fridays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
It has set a pre-bid conference on February 1 at 2 p.m. at the Training Room 2 of the Palacio del Gobernador in Intramuros, Manila.
The deadline for the submission of bids is on February 14 at 9 a.m. at the SBAC Secretariat office.
The bids shall be opened also on February 14 at 10:30 a.m. at the Convention Hall of the Palacio del Gobernador.
