LESS than three months before overseas voters cast their votes, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) has set specific modes of voting to be used by different Philippine posts abroad.
Based on Minute Resolution No. 21-1356, the Comelec identified which Philippine posts will use the postal or personal mode of voting, as well as who will use the automated or manual system of voting.
Set to vote using the postal-manual system are the Philippine posts in Beijing, Chongqing, Dhaka, Guangzhou, Hanoi, Islamabad, Port Moresby, Yangon, Ankara, Berlin, Berne, Brussels, Budapest, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Geneva, Istanbul, Lisbon, Moscow, Oslo, Paris, Prague, Stockholm, The Hague, Vienna, Warsaw, Abuja, Cairo, Nairobi, Pretoria, Rabat, Tehran, Brasilia, Buenos Aires, Mexico, and Santiago.
Voting using the postal-automated system are those assigned in Bangkok, Canberra, Kaohsiung, Melbourne, Nagoya, Osaka, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo, Wellington, Athens, Barcelona, London, Rome, Agana, Calgary, Chicago, Honolulu, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Ottawa, San Francisco, Toronto, Vancouver, and Washington.
Set to cast votes via personal-manual system those are in Dili, Jakarta, Manado, New Delhi, Phnom Penh, Shanghai, Vientiane, Xiamen, Vatican, and Damascus.
