PRECINT Count Optical Scan (PCOS) machines first used by the Commission on Elections in the 2010 polls are being auctioned off for P2,293.75 per unit.
The auction will be held later this month and will cover 81,775 units of the PCOS machines that were used in the 2010 and 2013 elections.
The floor price for all the machines being auctioned off is P187 million.
“Bids lower than the floor prices/minimum financial offer as stated in the Notice shall not be accepted,” said the poll body.
“Bidders shall be ranked according to their respective financial offers (e.g., from highest to lowest). The highest bid shall be adjudged as the winning bid,” the Comelec added.
The Comelec said the submission of bid tenders is on August 23, 2021 at 9 a.m. through the Google Drive application.
The bids will be opened online using MS Teams an hour later.
