DATA from the Commission on Elections (Comelec) show that more than 7.4 million individuals have applied to become voters in the May 2025 national and local polls.
The poll body said 7,436,555 applications were filed nationwide during the seven-month voter registration period, which ran from February 12 to September 30 this year.
The CALABARZON has the highest number of voter registrants at 1,223,159 applicants.
It is followed by the National Capital Region, with 997,062 applicants, and Central Luzon with 834,467.
On the other hand, having the lowest number of voter registrants is the Cordillera Administrative Region, with 111,410 applicants.
The applications for voter registration filed between July 1 to September 30 are set to undergo hearings by the Election Registration Boards (ERBs) on October 14.
The ERB is the body constituted to act on all applications for registration on whether they will be approved or disapproved.
