AFTER the National Capital Region (NCR), will workers in Central Visayas also be given a minimum wage hike?
The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) in Region 7 is set to hold five public hearings for possible wage hikes for private sector employees and domestic workers (kasambahays).
“The public hearings shall be conducted to ensure that all sectors and parties, who stand to be directly affected by the wage board’s decision, are given the widest opportunity to be heard,” the RTWPB-Central Visayas said in a social media post.
“The hearings will be conducted in five strategic areas in the region. We invite you to the public hearings on minimum wage adjustment for private workers and kasambahays,” it added.
This month, the public hearings will be held on July 10 (9 a.m.) at the Captain Hall 1, 2nd Floor, Capitancillo Cafe & Restaurant, Bogo City, Cebu; and on July 26 (9 a.m.) at the Executive Hall, DepEd Ecotech Center, Lahug, Cebu City, Cebu.
Next month, the public hearings are set on August 1 (9 a.m.) at the 2nd Floor, Hotel Dulcee, City of Naga, Cebu; on August 10 (1 p.m.) at the Mezzanine A & B, Kew Hotel, Tagbilaran City, Bohol; and on August 11 (1:30 p.m) at the Function Room 3, Royal Suite Inn, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.
