PNP chief Camilo Cascolan has implemented another revamp in the police force, with 19 generals and colonels, including PNP spokesman Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac, getting new positions.
Banac was designated as the new director of the PNP Training Service. The new PNP spokesman is Brig. Gen. Ysmael Yu, the deputy chief for operation of the Ilocos Region regional police office.
Banac will replace Brig. Gen. Alex Sintin, who was re-assigned as the new director of the National Police Training Institute, vice Brig. Gen. Alfred Corpus who was designated last week as the PNP director for operations.
Maj. Gen. Marni Marcos Jr., who was assigned last week with the office of the PNP chief, was designated as the new PNP director for investigation and detective management, replacing Maj. Gen. Elmo Francis Carona.
PNP Logistics Support Service chief Brig. Gen. Pascual Munoz Jr. was named the new director of MIMAROPA regional police office.
The new Central Visayas regional police director will be PNP Anti-Kidnapping Group director Brig. Gen. Jonnel Estomo, who replaced Brig. Gen. Albert Ignatius Ferro, the new director for integrated police operations-Southern Luzon.
Estomo’s successor as AKG chief is Brig. Gen. Joseph Ulyses Gohel, the deputy director of the Cordillera regional police office.
Also getting new posts are Brig. Gen. Benjamin Acorda Jr., the new PNP deputy director for intelligence; Brig. Gen. Edgar Monsalve, the new chief of the PNP Intelligence Group; Brig. Gen. Danilo Macerin, the new executive officer of the PNP directorate for operation; Brig. Gen. Sterling Raymund Blanco, the new deputy director for administration of the PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group;
Brig. Gen. Rhoderick Armamento, the new director of the Center for Police Strategy Management; Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg, the new director of the Logistics Support Service; Brig. Gen. Nicerio Obaob, who is assigned with the office of the PNP chief;
Col. Roel Acidre, new acting deputy director of the CARAGA regional police office; Col. Celso Bael, new executive director of the PNP directorate for intelligence; Col. Franco Simborio, new chief of the PNP Command Center; and Col. Leo Francisco, the new deputy director for administration of Central Luzon regional police office.
The designation of the 19 officers is effective today.
Cascolan has already effected three rounds of revamp since assuming office as PNP chief Wednesday last week, vice now retired Gen. Archie Gamboa.
