THE “Kadiwa ng Pangulo” program which was recently launched in Camarines Sur has generated P1.212 million in sales during its first two days of implementation, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said yesterday.
The PCO said the first Kadiwa ng Pangulo center in the Bicol Region has reached a total sales of P431,162 on its first day and P780,912 on the second day.
President Marcos Jr. led the launch of Kadiwa in Naga City in Camarines Sur last Thursday.
At least 500 Kadiwa ng Pangulo outlets have been opened nationwide.
Last month, the President launched the first outlet in Cebu city, which generated total sales of P931,329 in its first two days.
The Kadiwa ng Pangulo program, which stemmed from the Kadiwa ng Pasko, aims to provide Filipino farmers, fisherfolk and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) a venue to sell their products and enable them to generate more income through direct farm-to-consumer trade.
It also aims to provide consumers with more affordable and fresh agricultural food products amid rising inflation in the country.
