Designated as the new Calabarzon regional police director, vice Nartatez, was Brig. Gen. Carlito Gaces.

Gaces was the deputy director for administration of the Ilocos regional police office prior to his designation.

Taking over Gaces’ post is Col. Antonio Marallag Jr., the deputy chief for operations of the Ilocos regional police office. A replacement for Marallag has yet to be named.

The designation of the three officers was signed by PNP director for personnel and records management Maj. Gen. Robert Rodriguez “by command” of PNP chief Gen. Rodolfo Azurin Jr.

Azurin, who took the helm of the 228,000-strong police force in August last year, is due to reach the retirement age of 56 on Monday.
