CALL center agents and private tutors are among the most in demand jobs today, topping the list of the Public Employment Service Offices (PESOs), according to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
Based on the May 28 to June 3 data released by the Bureau of Local Employment (BLE), there are currently 1,111 and 1,021 job vacancies for call center agents and private tutors, respectively.
Other leading job vacancies include production workers (494), technical support staff (275), and street sweepers (200).
Completing the Top 10 are laborers (195), production machine operators (133), cashiers (123), staff nurses (109), and sales representatives (105).
PESO data also showed high demand for customer relations officers (104), mechanic helpers (100), motor truck mechanics (100), mechanical product inspectors (100), and farm tractor mechanics (70).
BLE also said there are vacancies for baggers (69), mechanics (67), automotive mechanics (62), utility workers (62), and logistics coordinators (61).
The BLE said the numbers are based on the data entered in the PESO Employment Information System (PEIS).
“The PEIS is a database for jobseekers, employers, vacancies, and client transactions,” said BLE.
