THE Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) of Calabarzon is set to hold the first of its three-part public hearing on wage hike proposals today, Monday, in Batangas City.
In a social media post, the Calabarzon wage board announced the holding of the public hearings on August 7 at the Batangas Provincial Capitol from 1 to 5 pm.
“The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board IV-A and the Department of Labor and Employment will conduct a face-to-face public hearing on the minimum wage adjustment for the formal sector on August 7,” said the Calabarzon wage board.
On Wednesday, the second public hearing is set to be held in Trece Martires City, Cavite.
Biñan City, Laguna will host the third public hearing on Friday.
Pending wage petitions filed before the wage board are those of the Organisasyon ng mga Manggagawa sa EMI (P100), and the Metal Workers Alliance of the Philippines (P280).
The last wage order issued by the Calabarzon wage board was Wage Order No. IVA-19 in May 2022.
