THE Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) – Region II will start conducting public consultation regarding the forthcoming adjustment in the minimum wage rate in the region.
In a social media post, the Cagayan Valley wage board announced its conduct of public consultation today, Thursday, in the province of Quirino.
“RTWPB-II is hosting provincial public consultations to discuss adjustments to the minimum wage for private workers and kasambahays,” said the RTWPB-Region II.
It said the public consultation is set from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Provincial Gymnasium in Cabarroguis, Quirino.
The Cagayan Valley wage board called on all concerned stakeholders to participate.
“This is your golden opportunity to influence decisions that directly impact your livelihood,” said the RTWPB-Region II.
The last wage orders issued by the RTWPB-Region II took effect back in October 2023.
For minimum wage earners, Wage Order No. RTWPB 2-22 brought the minimum wage rate in Cagayan Valley from P430 to P450.
On the other hand, Wage Order No. 02-DW-05 raised the minimum wage rate for domestic workers in Cagayan Valley to P5,500.
