Bukidnon provincial police chief Col. Jun Mark Lagare said the bus, with body number 2821, was travelling on Sayre Highway in Sitio Mangima, Barangay Takulan when its brakes malfunctioned.

“The said vehicle was bound for Davao City from Cagayan de Oro City and upon reaching the descending curve, the brake mechanism malfunctioned, causing the vehicle to fall at the ravine, causing injuries to the passengers,” said Lagare.
